Canada & Hopi Trips

During September 2009, I was very fortunate to be able to visit friends and wonderful places with extraordinary energies.

Most everyone has a favorite place where your Spirit or Soul finds peace or gets rejuventated.  Sometimes, it's as close as the garden in your backyard or for others, it may be a country or ocean away.  One of my favorites is Canada and I especially love Niagara Falls since it acts as an energy recharge for me.  After many months of healing, it was the perfect place to be with friends during the 09-09-09 activations. The day I arrived, we stopped at the Falls and experienced a 300-degree rainbow.

We had seen single or double rainbows arcing 180 degrees across the Falls over the years but never one like this so it truly was a unique experience.  It was obviously caused by light refracting across the water on the ground making the rainbow appear to be completing a full circle, but nevertheless, we still stood in awe looking up at the beautiful rainbow colors and then down at them dancing across the water flowing below us.  We felt a promise of wonderful energies to  come.

During the trip we also went to other locations near water since I always find them very healing and have included  pictures of those as well.

On another trip to the Falls, we were able to stop at a Buddhist temple and although it was closed, we were still able to take a picture of a large, beautiful statue of Kuan Yin set far in the back.  On our return to Toronto, we stopped at a lovely place, Niagara on the Lake, which is very peaceful and quaint.  It literally makes you feel like you are stepping back in time to a quieter and more gracious existence.

Then from there, my friend, Sherry D., an amazing healer, did a wonderful job of arranging a trip for us and her friends from Australia first to Sedona and then to the ancient Hopi lands. The few short days were amazing and looking at the pictures reminds me of the incredible energies we encountered - even with a Mercury Retrograde occurring.

Besides the usual Sedona vortex spots, our guide, a very spiritual person, took us to other mystical places such as a Medicine Wheel where we could join in prayer and walk the wheel, as well as, a Buddhist Stupa where thousands have come from around the world to add their prayers and energies for peace for our planet. As we sat there in the shade, a slight breeze engulfing us, the energies of the place were truly amazing.

Then we headed to the land of the Hopi and over the next few days, we were fortunate to find a great guide, meet with those who ran the cultural foundation, have a session to exchange energies with a local healer/Medicine Man, visit the ancient petroglyphs, and lastly, meet with a group of elder women from many clans, some belonging to the Spiritual Council of their particular mesa.

We all joined together to do a short ceremony asking for prayers of light and peace to infuse us all, regardless of whether we were praying to Great Spirit, Creator, God/Goddess, or All That Is.  That exchange of energies brought tears to many of us since we felt the beauty and sincerity of the heart connection that we all shared.  As the music and energies built, the Coordinator spoke in Hopi to all gathered, which made the experience seem a little surreal, as if we were 'living' a recorded, chanted meditation.  It was truly a heart-moving and unforgettable experience.

Then on our way back, we stopped at another sacred Hopi site, the ancient Homolovi Ruins, where the energies were also very intense.  When we got out and walked, we could feel the energy vibrations of the land.

Then between Homolovi and Sedona, we stopped at a little shop where there is probably one of the largest dream-catchers you will ever see  (picture below).  I also added a picture of a storm brewing since we had prayed for rain during our ceremony due to the Hopi lands being dreadfully parched and in desperate need of water for crops.

It was a trip rich with blessings that will long be remembered. When I spoke a few days ago to the Hopi Elder Community Coordinator where we did the ceremony, she said that once you have connected to the land and its people, you always remain connected and will continue to be in their prayers.

To all those we met, may Light and Peace continue to surround you and your journeys - thank you for enriching my life.  I feel honored to have shared this wonderful exchange of energies.
